At some point of our TV-watching life we'll have to admit that all the good comedies about people's life will eventually be defined by these words - courtship, family, friendship. Grace and Frankie isn't new in that perspective. There are misunderstandings, misgivings in their ways of hadling relationships. Grace and Frankie is refreshing in that it's about the senior citizens, about the gay community (I guess Sol and Robert are not that gay given their ages).

Structurally, it should be called Grace, Frankie Sol and Robert (our newly-wed couple's screen time is almost the same as our title characters). But second half of season two has involved more around Grace and Frankie, which I believe will continute to do so in season three (season three's been renewed by Netflix, scheduled to release in 2017). The next season Grace and Frankie might do something new, which people of their ages often dread doing, afraid that it'll be the end soon. Grace and Frankie resolve to be different and make the most of their life.

What I like about this show is that it's peacful even in the moments of intension. It's funny because of the jokes and the likeable characters. The creators of this show came up with two differently tempered sets of characters - the Hansons and the Bergsteins. Although they are different in many acpects (Frankie, played by the fantastic Lily Tomlin, often talk or is in phone with Sol when she's told what have happened the last twenty years, which is not the case with Grace, who's played by Jane Fonda), they still have one big thing in common - they all sexually attract to men (lol). All those traits of the characters create tension, and the actors and actress make these moments moving or funny. It's a show you can enjoy watching without worrying some ultimate plight - the worst thing happened to Grace and Frankie is that they lost their husbands with them taking the beach house. That's what I like about Grace and Frankie, they handle things gracefully and honestly. It's what we need in life.
